SEASON PREVIEW 2024/25 AS BIG KICK OFF LOOMS

 HUCKNALL TOWN UCL PREMIER NORTH

SEASON 2024/25 PREVIEW

Having avoided relegation on goal difference last season Hucknall will go into the new season starting this Saturday looking for a good start and a major improvement on the last league campaign.
Gone from our division are last seasons champions Sherwood Colliery and play off winners Loughborough Students and we wish them well in their respective Step 4 Leagues. Also gone are last seasons bottom side Pinchbeck who have dropped to the Eastern Counties League div 1 North and again we wish them well.
Joining the Yellows this season are old foes Bourne Town last seasons Div 1 Champions, Last seasons Div 1 Play off winners Harrowby United, Shirebrook Town promoted on best ppg of losing play off finalists, Newark Town promoted due to the demise of Cogenhue United and being Div 1 losing play off finalists and Gresley Rovers who finished bottom of the Northern Midlands Div 1.
All of this makes for a 20 team league and I expect top and bottom to be a lot tighter this season. It will be a very competitive league with no easy games. I hope last season has given us an insight to what is needed it was certainly a very harsh lesson last time around. We need to make the RM a fortress and our home form will go a long way in deciding where we finish.
What ever happens lets get behind Reece, the management team and the lads.
