HUCKNALL ON THE ROAD AGAIN AFTER HOME POSTPONEMENTS

 WISBECH TOWN V HUCKNALL TOWN

GCE HIRE FLEET UCL PREMIER NORTH

SATURDAY NOVEMBER 22ND 2025 15.00 KO

MATCH PREVIEW

Hucknall Town are back on the road this weekend after having two home games postponed because of the adverse weather. The Yellows earned a very hard fought for point in their last outing at Skegness a fortnight ago and travel to Wisbech hoping to continue their excellent away form.
Wisbech lie in 10th place in the league with a record of:
Played 17 winning 7 drawing 2 and losing 8 with a GD of minus 7
Their season began with a 3 nil away defeat at Clay Cross but this was followed by 2 impressive home wins over teams currently in the top 5. A 2 1 win over the current leaders Boston Town was followed up by a 4 3 win over Kimberley MWFC. A 1 1 draw followed away to another top five side Grantham followed by a 2 1 home win against Harrowby. This put the Fenmen amongst the early season front runners. Skegness Town delivered their first home league defeat by winning 2 1 at the Fenland Stadium.
Wisbech responded by beating Newark & Sherwood 2 nil at home and Melton Town at home by the same scoreline.
Wisbech then travelled to Boston Town where the home team gained revenge for their early season defeat by inflicting a 7 2 defeat on the Fenmen.
Three more league defeats followed, Sherwood (away 0 1)Blackstones (home 2 3) and Ashby Ivanhoe (away 1 3).
An excellent 1 nil win at Grantham put an end to the run of defeats but 2 more followed, Skegness completing the double by winning 2 0 at home and Newark Town winning 3 2 at Wisbech. A decent 2 1 victory at AFC Mansfield was followed up with a goal less draw at Newark Town in their last game also a fortnight ago.
In the Cups:
FA Cup Lost 3 2 away at Haverhill Rovers
FA Vase Beat Woodbridge Town 3 1 at home, Harleston Town 2 1 away before losing 6 1 at home to Harpenden Town
League Knock Out Cup. Lost 3 0 at home to Newark Town
Hucknall go into the game with a league record that reads
Played 18 winning 8 drawing 3 and losing 7 with a GD of plus 7
Despite not playing for the last 2 weeks the Yellows remain in 6th spot. Going into this game Hucknall have signed 2 players, John-Paul McHugh (midfield) and Dylan Reason (forward) who both have an excellent pedigree. We wish them both a warm welcome to the Yellows.
Safe travels to all going to Wisbech for what should be a competitive game.
