HUCKNALL TOWN V GRESLEY ROVERS
GCE HIRE FLEET PREMIER DIVISION NORTH
WEDS 13TH AUGUST 2025 19.45 KO
MATCH PREVIEW
Hucknall will be hoping mid week will again prove to be victorious when they take on Gresley Rovers at the RM this Wednesday night.
The Yellow have one victory from their 3 league games so far. That being a good performance away at Belper in a mid week game after a disappointing loss at home to Blackstones the Saturday before. Once again this fixture follows a disappointing defeat at leaders Newark Town where two late Yellows goals wasn't enough.
Gresley have started the season with two wins and a defeat in their 3 games. Sherwood colliery away on the opening day was never going to be easy. Ex Yellow Craig Westcarr scoring 4 goals as Gresley lost 5 1. The Moatmen responded well by beating Melton Town 2 1 at home.
They then got a creditable 2 2 draw at Eastwood before bowing out of the FA Cup after a 4 2 penalty shoot out in the replay where the game itself finished goalless.
Again they bounced back from that with a 3 2 home success over Skegness on Saturday.
This all bodes well for Gresley after surviving on the last day of the season at the expense of Sleaford on having a better goal difference.
Hucknall won't find this game easy and will have to work hard to get the points Hucknall won the corresponding fixture 3 nil in February to avenge a 4 1 defeat at Gresley last September.
A tough game awaits.
