New Era For Yellows With A New Management Team

 HUCKNALL TOWN V LOUGHBOROUGH STUDENTS

UCL PREMIER NORTH SATURDAY 7TH OCTOBER 2023 3 PM KO

MATCH PREVIEW

A new era begins for Hucknall Town this Saturday When the new management team of Reece Limbert and Louis Bland take charge of proceedings for the first game of what hopefully will be a long and happy tenure. Welcome to the RM Stadium lads.

Thanks must go to Phil Henry, Stewart Bowley, Darren Jubb (who will remain in his coaching role) and everyone involved in seeing the club through the transitional period and deserve credit for getting that elusive first victory and very nearly our first away league victory last weekend, thwarted only by a last gasp equaliser.

The new management team face a difficult looking task in the visit to the RM of Loughborough Students. Another team that I don't think we've played before (correct me if I'm wrong)

Loughborough have a league record so far of

Played 11 winning 4 drawing 4 and losing 3 with a GD of plus 13

wins have come against Boston Town (home 2 0), Heanor Town (home 4 1), Pinchbeck United (away 0 11 (eleven)), Deeping Rangers (home 3 2)

Draws have been against Heanor Town (away 1 1), Belper United (home 1 1 ), Skegness Town (away 1 1) and Kimberley MW (home 1 1).

Defeats have come against Sleaford Town (away 3 1), surprisingly AFC Mansfield (home 2 1) and Lincoln United (away 2 1).

In the cup competitions They held Grantham Town to a ! ! draw away only to lose the replay by the only goal at home.

In the FA Vase they had an impressive 6 3 victory away at Deeping Rangers and then an even more impressive 9 (nine) 0 victory at home against Dunkirk. They face Gedling MW away in the next round.

In the League cup They drew 3 3 at home to Daventry Town progressing through 4 2 on penalties. They then drew 0 0 at Harrowby before winning 4 3 on penalties to progress to the next round.

Loughborough are currently unbeaten in 8 games in all competitions and will prove to be difficult opponents tomorrow.

Hucknall though will be looking to get the new era starting with three points. The team selection will be interesting. Who will be available will be interesting.
